i was giving a ride to a finnish friend of mine in my z, she was taking it well and i threw down a little drift to see how she took it. she kind of freaked out as she didnt know if it was intentional or not, she asked how i learned to do that. i told her i had taught myself and she was surprised that i would go and practice that, she then said it was tricky for her to learn in drivers ed. we talked awhile about finnish driving classes and the drills she described were pretty intense, they teach you to regain and the effect of every input you can make to a car when traction is lost or slipping away including controlling the car with the throttle when the back end steps out. something about picturing a very hot blonde finnish girl powersliding a car is very sexy to me.
it wasnt until i talked to foreigners about their drivers training, and traveled a bit that i realized how bullshit american driving really is.
